FRED VERNON, FOUNDER AND CEO
In 2013, Fred earned an MBA and MSA from Lamar University. He also earned a BBA in accounting in 2012 and an Associate’s Degree from Lamar State College – Port Arthur in 2010. Fred has also completed a two-year pipe welding certification from the Lamar Institute of Technology – Safety Star Industrial Co-Op program.
After graduating from Lamar University in 2013, Fred started working for the prestigious multinational accounting and professional services firm, Price Waterhouse Coopers, as a business analyst and valuations specialist.
In 2017, he established an endowment at Lamar University in honor of his mother. He also serves as a board member of Family Services of South East Texas, is president-elect for the Lamar University Alumni Board, and volunteers at Mini Rogers and the Federal Corrections Facilities in efforts of teaching young men life skills and the value of education.
JONATHAN VERNON, GENERAL MANAGER
Jonathan D. Vernon was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. He attended Texas State University and worked in operations for PepsiCo and Bimbo Bakeries before joining KLV Ventures in 2016.
At KLV, Jonathan has overseen the recruitment and training of over 30 new hires, helped increase profitability, facilitated the expansion of the company into two additional cities, and played a key role in doubling revenue over the last year.
